UPM FORMI 3D LAMP SHADE

Designer Jaani Vaahtera has designed a unique lamp shade for UPM, produced using 3D printing technology. The designer Jaani Vaahtera says that the shape of the lamp shade is reminiscent of a molecule, which is used to symbolise the transformation of UPM from a traditional paper company to a Biofore company. This shade is made from UPM Formi 3D, a 90% biodegradable printing material. The cellulose fibres in the material provide a wood-like soft matt finish that allows light to shine softly through, creating a unique, warm atmosphere.”
