The payoff of

T he Nordic Stars Equity sectors that combine solid finan- cial performance with a strong sense of corporate responsibility, explains Nordea investment expert Antti Savilaakso. “We use a specific researchmeth- odology to analyse the corporate responsibility track record of each company up for investment. We look at the company’s policy on climate change and use of natural resources and water, for example, and assess how its actions affect these issues.” UPM’s Biofore strategy fits the bill to a tee. When it comes to generating energy, UPMuses reliable, low-emis- sion, cost-competitive energy sources. The product portfolio, too, is based on renewable rawmaterials and sustainable sourcing.
