BIODIVERSITY MONITORING PROGRAMME

We have executed biodiversity surveys in different forest areas since the beginning of our operations. We have defined specific indicators for high-value conservation areas (HVCAs), which are assessed annually, in accordance with FSC ® requirements. As of 2019 the indicators required by the environmental authorities for the evaluation of the state of the ecosystem have been incorporated.

Fauna Field surveys determine the composition of wildlife on company property. Tetrapods from the following zoological classes have been identified: amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Two of the registered species are the Tamandua anteater and the Margay cat . TETRAPOD SPECIES IDENTIFIED NUMBER OF SPECIES BY CLASS AND PRESENCE ON UPM FORESTAL ORIENTAL LANDS
