DISTRIBUTION OF THE KINDS OF ENVIRONMENTS IN UN PLANTED AREAS:
Environments Natural environments in a region or area are the result of the interaction between various factors, such as climate, geology, soil, flora, and vegetation, and vary based on these factors. For classification purposes, UPM Forestal Oriental uses a methodology based on satellite imaging, information regarding soil class and digital terrain models. Environments are classified according to their degree of vulnerability, facilitating management and conservation. The internal and external connectivity between environments is also analysed more naturally, as are the location and size of the company’s reserve areas.
