OUR TEAM

UPM FOUNDATION GROWING TOGETHER IN THE INTERIOR The UPM Foundation was born in Fray Bentos more than 15 years ago with the aim of supporting community development. Together with the growth of UPM’s operations, the F oundation expanded and refined its vision of being a strong contributor in the long-term strengthening of communities.

more than 5,000 people from some 100 communities. A board of directors made up of five members meets every two months to evaluate and approve the new proposals, manage the Foundation’s budget, and monitor the progress of current projects.

As part of the Foundation’s work, we support projects and promote scholarships for training programmes throughout the interior of the country. All projects are led by leading organizations in their fields. In the last three years the Foundation has implemented 65 projects impacting
