We work together with service providers and carry out systematic monitoring activities in accordance with quality standards. UPM Forestal Oriental has an Internal Audit Department with the main aim of monitoring and controlling compliance with labour, tax and social security obligations as well as other legal and management requirements that each kind of activity requires. AUDITS OF CONTRACTING COMPANIES In 2022, we conducted 280 on-site audits on contracting companies to verify labour, legal, certification and security aspects. Upon completion of this process an audit report is sent to the contractor. In addition, we conducted 348 financial audits in our transportation process.
