GRAZING

The grazing of third party cattle was incorporated by the company as a way of integrating the traditional production activities of the region into UPM Forestal Oriental plots and of providing opportunities for productive use of the company’s pastures to producers from the region. It also means a reduction in combusti- ble material available for the company, thus reducing the risk of fire. Area grazed by third parties: 58,187 ha Number of Producers: 323 contracts, 481 farmers.
